Ranger is good at PVE am I right or am I wrong :)
I think its good, we and a friend did some things, and having 2 pets rocked lol. Plus being ranger/elementalist is pretty strong.

You need to give your current pet to a pet tamer...they are scattered around (Link Here). This will get rid of your pet completely and you should be free to charm another

Just know that you cannot get your pet back once you give it to the tamer.

Flarestorm combined with Otyugh's Cry is the r0xx0r. Bears are obviously the best pet because they are so big and powerful.

qft. It's really quite sad to see people just bash and make fun of others just because they don't have as much experience as others.
@Edopo:
Bears are generally considered the lesser of pets to use since they use a skill every 4 attacks that does no additional damage. The net result of this is that bears do less damage per second that other pets while having no other strengths to make up for this shortcoming. If you want to learn more about pets and beastmastery, I would reccomend you check out the following link:

I think the negative comments were pointing out the fact that this thread is pretty pointless, which it is.

Isn't the bear the best pet for a Paragon? The bear is the only pet that actually has a skill (to trigger some shouts).
Yes, this post is pointless as the question in the subject heading was asking if a Ranger is good in PvE, but post itself is a state of opionion and not asking for advise.
Though I did laugh when I saw Yanman.be's initial post.

Yeah, poor guy. He's just learning how to play the game, and there's nothing wrong with trying out a R/E combination the first time around. Through time, he'll figure out stuff like not spreading your attributes across 7 things, etc. etc. I mean, when I first started out, I used a E/Me. The class combo sounded good, but my plan was to use stuff like conjure phantasm to degen the enemies while casting fireball to deal massive AoE damage and flare with aura of restoration to heal myself. Though not as bad as most starter ideas (mending heal breeze wammo, meteor shower war), it's still pretty pathetic now that I think back at it.
If you want decent ranger builds on the go, go to guildwiki.org, otherwise experiment with what seems to help you deal the most damage and keep you alive the best, and remember that there is no real "perfect" build in this game.
But yes, this is one of the most pointless threads ever...close please?

The skill does trigger some shouts, but the synergy is horrendous.
